The Patrol Division is considered the backbone of the Police Department. Patrol Officers are the first responding officers to any type of call from stray animals to homicides.
The Patrol Division must also enforce local ordinances and state laws, seek to prevent crime, stop crimes in progress, protect lives and property, and arrest offenders.
The Patrol Division are is split into 3 different shifts covering the Village 24 hours a day.
