It shall be the Mission of the Steger Police Department to provide crime control services through partnerships and commitments to the Community, while maintaining the highest level of professional integrity. With vision as a driving force, the Steger police Department is dedicated to advancement through technology and community mobilization.
OUR OBLIGATION TO THE PUBLIC
Always remember that you are a public employee. You may be the only contact a citizen has with his / her Village Government. The impression you make will be the one the citizen has of their local government. This applies whether we speak over the telephone or in direct personal contact. If you are asked a question or presented with a problem you cannot cope with, it is your duty to refer the question or problem to your supervisor who will resolve it. When your contact with a citizen is direct, display a pleasant, sincere and helpful manner. Always remember:
